Legal, Licensed Psilocybin Facilitation in Oregon, U.S.

In August 2023, Oregon opened the first legal and licensed psilocybin service centers in the U.S. In this insightful webinar, Jay Cusker , TheraPsil member, LMFT, and licensed psilocybin facilitator, will share experiences guiding over 265 clients from around the world. Jay will explore treatment protocols, share stories of clients’ journeys, and reflect on how his personal and professional path with psilocybin has aligned to support this sacred work.

This interactive, experiential session will cover:

  • Accumulated statewide program statistics
  • The current landscape for training and process to become a licensed facilitator in Oregon
  • Overarching themes, successes, and challenges from guiding over 265 client journeys
  • Discussion of role play techniques and approaches used with clients throughout preparation, facilitation, and integration

Attendees will gain a rare and personal behind-the-scenes look at Oregon’s pioneering psilocybin program, offering practical insights for facilitators, clinicians, and anyone interested in the evolving landscape of legal psychedelic care.

About Jay Cusker : Jay is an Oregon-licensed Psilocybin Facilitator and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in OR and WA. He is certified as a Trauma Professional and in Gerontology, with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Drama Therapy and the Expressive Arts. Jay has worked with diverse populations, dual diagnosis, substance use disorders, the LGBTQ+ community, family systems, schools, and end-of-life care, including hospice.
